Whether you are a seasoned veteran or new to the sport, SIA has a program that will help you have more fun, become a more skilled player and make new friends.

Thursday Evening Adult Hockey Skills Class

For those of you who are looking to brush up on your hockey skills we have an intermediate/advanced teaching session each Thursday evening from 6:25pm to 7:25pm every week. Our hockey coaches will run skaters through drills intended to improve upon your existing skating, shooting, and stick handling skills. Drop in cost is $17 or you may buy a 10 punch pre paid discount card for $150. Call our Guest Services at (503) 625-5757 for further details. This is for adults only. Full hockey gear is required.

“Learn To Play Hockey” Thursday Evenings

The Mission of the Sherwood Ice Arena Learn To Play Hockey Program is to provide an instructional experience that allows each student to improve his/her skills, knowledge of the game, and self-confidence through a “positive” learning experience at his/her own pace.

Youth Learn To Play Hockey “Game Time” Sundays at 11:15am

“Game Time” is a permanent part of the LTPH program now. The LTPH “Game Time” will be offered as an additional session only available to LTPH registrants.  Our desire and goal is to give instruction once a week on Thursday evenings and learn and have fun putting those skills to the test in “Game Time” play on Sunday mornings at 11:15am till 12:45.  Cost is $15 per session and no drop ins are allowed.  This is for all youth 14 and under currently enrolled in Thursday’s LTPH program.

• LTPH “Game Time” will begin at 11:15am and will run until 12:45pm Sundays.
• The LTPH Game Time will be offered as an additional session only available to LTPH registrants. 
• The cost is $15 per session payable at the beginning of each semester. Students joining part way through a semester will be prorated.
• Game Time is a controlled scrimmage with youth of similar skill sets.  Designed to teach the rules of the game (offside, icing, positional play, team play, penalties etc).  Each on ice session will begin with an overview of the basic rules of the game followed by a warm up session, and then a scrimmage controlled by an on-ice SIA hockey coach.
