Aziza Jappie
Hi, I am Aziza Jappie and I started skating at the age of 9 when my parents signed me up for a Learn to Skate program. I have achieved a gold medal for moves in the field and am currently working on earning gold medals in freestyle and dance. As well as being a singles skater I also do ice dancing, figures and was on a synchronized skating team. I have had many great experiences while skating which include a trip to sectionals and nationals for synchronized skating.
I have, and have had many great coaches that have helped me achieve my goals and taught me a lot about skating. I look forward to passing on the knowledge that I have obtained to others. I am a member of PSA, ISI and USFS. Figure skating has helped me become more disciplined and I have become a stronger, well-rounded person because of it. It’s not just a sport where people skate around in little dresses and tights and do 360 degree turns, but it is a sport that requires balance, flexibility, strength, power, coordination, dedication, and bravery while skating on a little metal blade.
I am currently a high school senior and take Pilates/contortion classes to better myself and it has been a great experience. I love the quote “The greatest pleasure of life is doing what people say you cannot do.” I am excited to share what I have learned with others and ensure everyone a fantastic skating experience.
