Krissy Harry, SIA Figure Skating Coach
Krissy has been a figure skating instructor for the last 13 years, 9 of which she has taught at the Sherwood Ice Arena. She is a PSA Master Rated Coach in Group Lessons, Senior Rated in Freestyle and Moves in the Field. She continues to educate herself with attending PSA seminars and conferences to keep on the cutting edge of the sport of figure skating. Krissy has taken her students to many local and regional ISI and USFS competitions. She has also taken and had skaters place in the National State Games of America.
Krissy started skating at the age of 2 and performing and competing in shows at the age of 5. Krissy competed in many local and regional events, including placing 6th at the National Collegiate Competition in 1996. She is a double Gold Medalist in Freestyle and Moves in the Field, also passing her Pre-Gold Dances and 3rd figure test. She shares her love of skating with her students in a fun and encouraging learning environment.
Krissy has two Bachelors Degrees. One is a BA of Biology (with a focus in Sports Medicine) from Lewis and Clark College, Portland, OR and a BS of Nursing from OHSU, Portland, OR. Krissy also works also as a Registered Nurse working with Medically Fragile Children.
