Laurian Nash - SIA Figure Skating Coach
Laurian started skating at the age of 5 and has had a passion for the sport ever since. She started competing at ISI and then switched to USFS as she progressed in her training and dedication, competing at the Regional level, and nation-wide competitions.
Laurian’s successes are owed to her long time skating coach, Andrea Anderson, who trained side by side with Brian Boitono. Her other credentials have been accrued from training camps with other Olympic and National coaches and choreographers. At the age of 19, Laurian started coaching skaters, and attending coaching seminars to polish her knowledge and improve techniques.
Currently, Laurian maintains her own training on the ice, as well as off the ice, and applies these skills to her skating students. She especially loves teaching choreography as well as other creative and inventive skills to add “spark” to the sport. She firmly believes in fulfilling her students’ goals through communication, passion, and knowledge, while focusing on injury prevention, motivation, and a positive attitude.
Laurian teaches all ages and all levels (recreational to competitive), and has an extremely flexible schedule, as you will usually always see her at the rink! She is an active and involved member of PSA, USFS, and ISI, and has accomplished her Gold Test in Moves in the Field, and is working towards her Freeskate Gold Test.
