Hockey players,
Registration is now open for the Summer 2017 adult hockey season online and at the rink. The summer season begins around May 29th, 2017 and goes through most of August. The link to register online can be found here: Click Here. The USA Hockey website does maintenance periodically at night so you may run into an issue if signing up late at night. This is because the registration website needs to validate the USA Hockey number entered before moving on to the next step. If t his happens, just try again in the morning and it should go through fine. It’s out of our control as to when they do the maintenance so please don’t wait till the last minute to register especially for Over 35 as we can’t hold you a spot.
The Summer 2017 season comes with a guaranteed 11 games and could be more depending on how far your team goes into the playoffs. Fees are $221 for skaters, $55 for goalies and $50 for captains if paid before the early bird discount deadline of April 16th, 2017. On April 17th or later, the cost will go up by $30. The payment plan option will be offered online only and requires $153 down at time of registration than 1 separate automatic payment of $115 due/withdrawn on July 10th. The payment plan option is not available for goalies or captains and is only available in the online registration.
League levels being offered this season are:
. 4v4 – All Levels Draft League – Fridays
. Over 35 Draft League – Mondays – Register ASAP as this league fills up fast!
. Gold – Thursdays
. Silver AA – Sundays
. Silver A – Wednesdays
. Silver BB – Saturdays
. Silver B – Saturday & Sundays (mostly Sundays with 1 slot on Saturday)
. Silver C – Tuesday & Saturdays (Most Saturdays with 1 slot on Tuesdays)
. Bronze – Tuesday
The majority of the games will be on the day listed with slight possibility of a few exceptions due to any pre-planned event, tournament, competition, maintenance, holiday, or playoff scheduling as we always have around this time of the year.
Free agent skaters are welcome in all leagues at this time; however, you must be approved for that league prior to registering by emailing the hockey direction or skating in an evaluation. Starting on April 7th , evaluations will be held on Fridays at 6:25pm during the adult skills class unless otherwise scheduled with the hockey director. Please don’t hesitate to email me if you have any questions or concerns about any of the leagues or on finding a team for you or not. We will assign you to the next appropriate league for your skill level if you register as a free agent and that league ends up being full.
It is your responsibility as a player to review all rules and regulations and abide by them when playing here at Sherwood Ice Arena. The link to these can be found on our website Sherwoodicearena.com which are updated each season.
2016/2017 USA HOCKEY MEMBERSHIP: All players must have a valid 2016/2017 USA Hockey membership as all rinks in the state of Oregon are a USA Hockey rink. The 2016-2017 USA Hockey membership is good until the end of August 2017 so you will get all seasons plus any tournaments during that time out of it. Our online registration site will validate your USA Hockey number before progression to the next step in your registration.
